Just like my previous posts on the Prologue in the 1-10 Starter Planets and the Capital Planets, I want to continue to analyze and rank the stories in SWTOR by its natural divisions. Each story has the Prologue and three Chapters. Today, we will look at Chapter One.

I will give my ranking first, then I will fully explain my position with potential spoilers, so if you just want to see what I think, don’t go past the big spoiler text. Feel free to comment on all of the rankings and provide your own if you want! Be sure to add your reasoning as well! Also stay tuned for more rankings of the additional parts, as well as the ultimate story ranking at the end! Which class will win?

Here is my ranking. They are also links in case you only want to read my analysis of certain classes. Be careful while scrolling!

  1. Agent – 10/10
  2. Trooper – 9/10
  3. Inquisitor – 9/10
  4. Bounty Hunter – 9/10
  5. Smuggler – 9/10
  6. Consular – 8/10
  7. Warrior – 7/10
  8. Knight – 7/10

I’m almost done with the Federation story missions, so I like the idea of rolling a Romulan (or perhaps a Klingon) to try out a different side of the game.  I’m not a die-hard Romulan fan, but I do like their aesthetic more than the Klingons.  Really, it comes down to whether you like green or red.  The Borg aren’t happy that they have to share green with the Romulans, but I’ve always thought that the Collective would be better suited with, say, hot pink.  “Resistance is fabulous!”

Story is Bioware’s fourth pillar in Star Wars: The Old Republic. They have spent possibly millions of dollars on voice acting alone. Almost every single quest in the entire game is voice-acted, and in fact, they literally hold the world record for voice-over content. What does that mean when it comes to putting out future content? Today I want to talk about the question that burns in all of our minds: did Bioware make a mistake in going fully voice-acted?

Burnout in MMOs is not only common, it is expected. No one picks up an MMO to play forever, and we all expect that someday, we will move on to something different. Today I want to look at some of the things that cause burnout in games, my experience with burnout, and the ways you can address burnout in your own life. Read more…

Ah yes The Secret World; I think it’s great that hipsters got their own MMO, but find it odd that they consider bashing TOR an acceptable substitute for end game content.
