Stat Changes: Better or Worse?
AHHHHHHHH!!!! Run for the hills!!!!
Just kidding. π
The Devs dropped a huge bomb on us today with a Developer Diary by Graalx2 about stat updates coming in Rise of Isengard.
My gut reaction was “NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Not my build!!!!!”
My second thought was “hmm….could be a good thing.”
Here is a run-down of all of the changes, with my comments: Read more…
My New Checklist: Syp at Massively Gets the Scoop
Sypster over at Massively posted a preview of Rise of Isengard expansion, and here are some of the things he had to say.
The expansion is filled with dozens of small improvements as well. Classes will not only be expanded as players level to 75 but receive skill and trait overhauls as Turbine strives to give players “more meaningful choices” in how they build and play their roles. Scaling instances will have their caps raised to 75 and will stock their coffers with better and more shiny loot. Crafting will head into Tier 7 with plenty of new recipes to boot.
We also learned that the virtue cap will be raised from 10 to 12, giving players more ways to increase their character’s stats.
Wow, do I have a lot to do! I have to get all five of my 65s ready for this expansion! Here is my checklist of what I need to do: Read more…
E3 Interview on PC Gamer
Today there was more news of the Isengard expansion, and I am getting really excited! It was a preview released on PC Gamer by a guy called Josh Augustine. I would like to add my comments to a few selected sentences.
1. “Letβs get my personal favorite news out of the way first: with Rise of Isengard, Monster Play will finally be free-to-play for everyone, instead of reserved exclusviely [sic] for subscribers.”
I’m glad that this is going to happen, as it might revitalize PvMP, and with all of the changes in PvMP, we might actually have a flourishing community in the Moors! Read more…
Isengard Pre-order comparison and comments
So the new expansion has an official release date: September 27th, 2011!
This is smack dab in the middle of a testing time for most semesters, so we will see how much my grades suffer…*cough* I mean, there is unfortunately a chance I may not be able to partake in the fun…or I might have a sudden onset of MacGregor’s Syndrome, but it will luckily be only in Phase 1, which I hear is curable with an antidote created by Victor Fries, M.D. Unfortunately, it will probably take, oh, at least two weeks for it to ship from Amazon. That should be sufficient for me to get my hunter and warden to 75…
Anyway, there is a set of three pre-orders available for purchase. They all grant access to the expansion, of course, but there are special goodies available immediately that are worth looking at. I still regret not pre-ordering Mirkwood, as I could’ve saved myself a lot of Turbine Points that I spent on extra character slots so I can have 9 characters. The following is a rundown on the pre-orders and my suggestions: Read more…
