Guide to Wildstar’s Housing
Normally I write things about Wildstar for Wildstar Radio, but I feel this blog has been neglected. So, while I write PvP articles for them, I’ll write guides here for other things.
Wildstar’s housing system is the best housing system I have ever seen. It is not only deep and varied in what it can do, but it was literally built into the game from the ground up. Everything in the game relates to housing in some way or another; it is not an afterthought.
Wildstar’s housing basically consists of a plot of land floating in the sky. It is instanced, which at first seems closed off, but it really isn’t. There is an in-depth neighboring system that allows you to visit friends on their housing plot and have visitors to yours! Because of the instancing, there can be a much higher decor limit, allowing players to get really creative with their decor.
This guide will cover how to get a house, how to customize it, how to use the Housing UI, how to tweak your decor just right, how to deal with the neighbors, and what addons are useful to a housing aficionado. There’s a table of contents with links after the jump.

Gunslingers in 2.4
Let me preface this with the statement that I have been writing PvP articles about Update 2.4…they just aren’t on this site. For my PvP articles, head to Corellian Run Radio to read them. I have one that is a general arena overview, one about meta-strategies in arenas, and one on the focus target system, which is applicable to warzones as well as arenas.
So for PvP, I like to give Corellian Run precedence on those articles, since I write a PvP column. But Gunslingers are mine. So here we go!
First off, there were no changes to the Gunslinger class at all. So the basic tenets I set forth in my Gunslinger Advanced Class Guide and the subsequent articles on the Saboteur, Sharpshooter, and Dirty Fighting trees are all still relevant.
But let’s talk arenas. First off, I will describe my experience in arenas overall. Read more…
The Fast Guide to Getting a Tauntaun in SWTOR
Tauntaun mounts have arrived to SWTOR!
We’ve all been waiting for animal mounts in SWTOR, and Bioware delivered Tauntauns to us this last update, Update 2.3. I love the way they are able to be obtained too, as it benefits the Subscriber!
In getting my own Tauntaun, I used Dulfy’s guide. I would recommend reading her guide first to understand this post here. In working the nests, I discovered a faster and easier way to do things. Using my method, you can hit 27 nests of 3 taun fawns each in one hour. Since there is about a 20% chance a taun fawn will produce Tauntaun domestication data, of which you need 15 or 20, you will have about 16 at the end of my method, which is enough to buy the Subscriber-only Tauntaun. Hit the jump for the details.
Gunslinger Builds: Sharpshooter
LAST UPDATED: 2.0.0
Welcome to the Gunslinger Builds Guide. This guide is focused on the Sharpshooter tree, and contains all Sharpshooter builds I have used or will at some point use. This means that the other build guides on my site for the Sharpshooter tree may not be kept up-to-date, but this one will always be kept current. Also be sure to check out the other guides on the other two trees, Saboteur and Dirty Fighting!
This build guide will be in three parts. The first part is a brief description of the tree and its uses. The second part is what I consider to be “core” talents in the tree, i.e. talents I would never go without. The third part contains all of the variations that I use, have tried, or have thought about trying. Read more…
